I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. After qualifying as a chartered accountant, I spent 15 years working in industry, ultimately becoming finance director of a public company. This, coupled with a further two decades in private practice, enables me to utilise my detailed and varied experience to provide you with a unique perspective on all aspects of your business and personal finance. I use my business know-how and expertise in the fields of accountancy and tax to understand your personal and business goals and then work closely with you in order to achieve these. I’ll help clarify what makes your business tick, and identify how best to increase your profits and personal wealth.
I am a director and shareholder of the firm, and have been building its profile and shaping its strategy and vision since founding Tayabali Tomlin in the Cotswolds in 1993. I’m involved with a large and diverse range of clients and am always available at the end of a phone or face to face to help you or your business. I specialise in personal tax and unincorporated entities, and deal with the firm’s administration requirements.
Tayabali Tomlin gets its name from my association with my cousin and his partner and their Cambridge-based practice, which was founded in 1979. A fan of most sports, I played cricket, rugby and hockey in my younger days, and am now an avid skier. I’ve lived nearly all my life in the UK, but my family hails from India via East Africa. My grandfather, who was practising law in Zanzibar, met Gandhi in 1930 – sadly a little before my time!
