My specialist knowledge

I have been a member of the Tayabali Tomlin team since 2011 and am a Fellow of the Institute of  Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. I spent 9 years at PwC in London  where I gained years of invaluable audit, accounting and business advisory knowledge, working primarily with FTSE 100 companies specifically in the Banking and Capital markets sector. Now, I specifically work with small businesses providing them with business, accounting and tax advice.

I believe in the importance of having a financial plan and a sound management reporting framework which underpins it. With these essential tools it enables the business to assess performance and be able to make informed decisions at the right time, which is essential for growth.

I am a strong advocate of cloud based accounting software such as Xero which allows business owners to have key information at their fingertips, as such I am a Certified Xero Advisor.

What I do at Tayabali Tomlin

I look after a wide range of clients in a variety of industries and I am experienced in both corporate and individual taxes and their compliance requirements.

As I believe in the importance of having a financial plan, I enjoy helping business owners financially model their business so that they can see the impact of key variables on their numbers before they make a decision. The identification of key performance indicators for every business is essential to be able to track progress and make effective and timely decisions.

I have helped businesses prepare for exit, provided advice around management buy outs and also performed buy and sell side due diligence.

I have acted as an independent expert where opinions are required on accounting or taxation matters where there is a dispute. I also have experience of offshore taxation, regularisation of taxation affairs and disclosure facilities.

I believe the role of an accountant is to act as a business advisor and bring a different perspective. This means looking beyond the basic compliance of accounts and tax returns and considering areas such as management information systems, operations and financial structuring to ensure the business has the right framework to achieve its strategic plan.

More about me

I was an avid rugby player but have finally conceded to watching from the sidelines! I love to ski and I enjoy CrossFit training (and compete a little). I also have two sons who keep me busy in my free time.
